Even though it would be a few more years before I started this comic, the dust that would eventually become the planet that is Rescue Archaeology began to coalesce as I was reading Thurber’s stories about early 20th century Columbus.

I don’t believe that I’m creating great works that will last for thousands of years, but every writer has some ideal audience in mind, and mine is about 100 years in the future.

So, here I am, over a year later (1/3/10) and I just noticed the typo in the last panel. Unfortunately, due to my computer crashing earlier, I no longer have the font to fix that. Let’s all just pretend that says “miles” and always has.
