I&#8217;ve never been happy with the way they&#8217;ve turned out in my comics, but the other day I realized that my biggest problem was in their eyes. I always draw humans with dot eyes (which, lately, have almost become <i>Little Orphan Annie</i> eyes), but cats with relatively realistic eyes. I don&#8217;t know why it never occurred to me that cartoon cats could also have cartoon eyes.</p>
<p>Also, I wonder how many Ninja Turtles I&#8217;ve managed to draw for this comic over the years. I can think of five just off the top of my head.</p>
