Two Years
The first Rescue Archaeology comic went up two years ago today!
Actually, that’s not quite true. I remember posting the comics with a fake backlog, so the site as we know it probably went live sometime in May. But I was also posting comics to my LiveJournal a little before that, and the site was up in some form since January 2008…
But the first comic in the archive is dated 4/21/08, so we’re going with that.
Anyway, the above panels are some of my favorites, but not all of my favorites. I stuck to standard sized panels, and tried to space things out and show a good overview. Looking at them really gives a sense of how much things have changed over the past two years.
Thank you, everyone, for reading, commenting on, and sharing these comics. This has been, without question, the most challenging and most rewarding creative thing I’ve done, and I can’t even begin to tell you how much I appreciate all of the feedback and encouragement I’ve received.

A journey from the beer aisle to a dandelion, apparently.
