Thanks for the link to Animation Backgrounds too. I just recently watched Sleeping Beauty with my daughter for the first time since I was a kid. I could not get over how stunning and stylized the forest backgrounds were.

I love this. And totally! Old disney illustrations are the best, that blog is gorgeous!

Thank you both! I’ve spent the better part of the past week just browsing through that blog. I need to start picking up old Disney movies on DVD (or even break down and get a blu-ray for them). Even the more recent movies that I wasn’t interested in (like Brother Bear) have amazing backgrounds.
