I still think that 1999 was last year, and anything in the 2000s was this year.

you know what’s tripping me out about this decade? cars. a 2000 car is TEN YEARS OLD. when i was younger a 10 year old car felt ancient. now a 2000 sounds new.

I think it’s because technology is making things outdated too quickly. 2000 -”You have a cell phone?…. cool. “2010 -”You have a cellphone thats two years old? weird.”

Sheryls: The same kind of thing happened to me the other day. Someone mentioned having an ancient car, from 1994. It took me a minute to realize that 16 years is kinda old for a car.
Adam: Is that any different than the comparison between a computer from 1990 and one from 2000? Regardless, I think that would make 2005 seem further away, not more recent.
