I always wave my hand in that specific Jedi-mind-trick fashion.
Good to know I’m not alone in this. I do the Jedi thing sometimes with the doors that slide instead of swing.
I generally snap my fingers at automatic doors and elevators, hoping to get the timing right.
That works too, although I’ve never been able to snap.
