Wooly Iguanodon

Recently, Love in the Time of Chasmosaurus ran a contest to depict dinosaurs with the kinds of features that they might have had, but were not preserved in the fossil record.

You can see the runners up here, and the winners here.

Despite being an avid reader of the blog, I never got around to entering.

So, here is my first of two so-late-the-contest-is-over entries (the second will be posted Wednesday). It’s an Iguanodon with light, wooly feathers, that lived in an arctic environment, subsisting primarily on lichen.
